When have TurboLister (TL) problems, make sure that your TL software is up to date and TL database is ok:
1) Close down everything and restart machine - my first step when strange things happen – sometimes other applications leave system options messed up or memory corrupted.
2) Backup data base to other than default location/filename. file>backup and add a suffix to the file name. I usually do multiple copies on different drives and one (most recent) copy on a thumb (USB drive) so can take to another machine and be up in minutes via restore.
3) Make sure software updated: tools>check for updates and apply with backups to default location until no more.
4) Make sure database is OK: tools>compact data base. Will check and fix errors.
5) Make sure TL tables, forms and categories are up to date:
Click on “Inventory” at top of left pane to make sure in inventory mode. Hold down shift+ctrl+alt and press R and click Ok and tools>check for updates. Expect it to run a while.
6) Restart machine and try again.

If no joy, and above complete ok, you could try some SYSTEM updates and scans (make sure operating system current, clean up, virus scans, defrag, scan disks, etc), but might have to uninstall/reinstall TL (make sure have multiple copies of current backup so can restore data base).
Note that downloaded software does NOT contain the latest updates, so do tools>check for updates until no more after installing new download.

Note for prevention, i do #2 and #3 every morning and #4 weekly or when lotsa updates along with separate weekly backups, and #5 at least monthly or when have troubles.

Good Luck!
